Welcome to our new site! We put this together to share the journey we’ve been planning since Psycho (Trina) was in elementary school. Well… our mode of transportation did change from the original plan of riding motorcycles to our much more comfortable 1986 Toyota Sunrader mini motorhome. The original plan was we were going to ride across the country on motorcycles when Trina graduated from college. After graduating from high school, Psycho took a rider safety course, obtained her license, bought a Ninja and quickly became an efficient rider.

Here you go… My favorite road warrior on her Ninja 600R.

After Psycho became a strong enough rider, we rode through the Sierras up to Yosemite and then back to Southern California. Her friend Evan (right) joined us for that adventure. After the thousand mile journey, we agreed that our Ninjas were not the best choice for extensive travel.

You’re probably wondering why I call my beautiful daughter “Psycho.” She does have a knife collection…  but let me explain. When Trina was 2 years old, I was sitting on a chair at our kitchen table and sat her down on the table in front of me. She quickly stood up on the table, looked me squarely in the eyes, opened her arms wide… and free fell into my arms. I thought, “What a psycho baby!” And thus her nickname came to be.

So as the years have passed and many life changes have occurred, our plan to explore the country after her college graduation has remained a beacon of light at the end of the tunnel. Trina graduated with a business degree a few weeks ago and now our days are filled with preparation for our coming adventure.

I’ve spent the past year or so restoring our little motorhome. This particular motorhome is the highly desirable Toyota Sunrader “shorty” model. The great thing is, you can park it anywhere due to it’s 18′ length. Surprisingly, there is plenty of room inside (can sleep 4 adults) and it’s fully equipped with a bathroom/shower, stove, sink and refrigerator. One of the reasons why these mini motorhomes are so desirable is their 15-18 MPG!
